Grinlocke

GRINLOCKE, born Jay Soulaani, was a quiet teenager from Oakland, California, who was brutally beaten and left for dead by his bullies. Saved by a powerful ancestral spirit, he inherited the mantle of The Hood Reaper, a supernatural protector chosen by the ancestors of Black Americans.

Gifted with the ability to harness Black Force Energy, GRINLOCKE was tasked with protecting Brown Sugar City, a city created by the ancestors to become the next great Black American metropolis, a sanctuary where Black Americans could thrive, celebrate their culture, express their creativity, build generational wealth, and shape their own future free from oppression.
